Bortbyting >>> 2007.03.16 A changeling has made its entrance Animation was a small creature that appeared into the world of Arktisk Cirkus 2003. As time passed it grew bigger and stronger and it's now about time it gets a nest of its own. Bortbyting (Changeling) is the name of the new animationstudio in Kiruna. Bortbyting and Arktisk Cirkus will continue working togeather for a period of transition. Bortbyting will be responsible for the creative side, like animation, sound and so on, while Arktisk Cirkus will keep the administrative bit, distribution and the role of producer. 2007.01.30 Blue Shoe to Tampere In the beginning of March, The Blue Shoe will be one of many short films shown at the International Short Film Festival in Tampere, Finland.The festival takes place between the 7th to the 11th of March. Earlier this week Norrbottens Läns Landsting handed out the Rubus Arcticus grants for 2006. Magnus was one of the four happy people that got awarded. He got a pin, a diploma, a flag and most of all, 100.000 kronor. To get an authentic sound of skis for an upcoming episode of Kaisa and Harax2, Martin, Magnus and Henrik went out into the forest in search of some unmelted snow. In the upcoming episodes Kaisa and Harax2 will, except for going on a ski trip, also do some net fishing. 2006.04.28 Prize for The Blue Shoe! The Blue Shoe was voted favourite of the audience at The Dreamfactory in Stockholm. The prize consisted, except for the honour, of two festival packages for the Bergman week in Fårö. Unfourtenately Magnus himself was already in a plane seat on his way north when the winner was announced, but he feels hounored and happy. Henrik Vesterberg from Luleå packed his bags and moved to Kiruna to learn about animation as a Norrbotten apprentice. We made a visit to among others SF, NRK and YLE to present our selves and our projects. The result of the travel is that Lukas' Dad is not a Rabbit will be shown on finnish televison sometime in the future. 2005.11.11 - 2005.11.13 Luleå Filmfestival Magnus, Martin och Håkan visited Luleå Filmfestival where Magnus was awarded the filmspark of the year. They also gave a lecture in animation under the headline "Work In Progress" where they showed and talked about their future film projects. 2005.10.27 Kaisa & Harax2, Kiteflying Kiteflying, the episode where Kaisa & Harax2, on a cool midwinterday, decides to go kite flying. As usual it ends in disaster, or as Harax2 optimistically would put it: -"Rather good". 2005.09.21 Cartoon Forum After a couple of stressful days in Kolding, Denmark, Magnus and Håkan have returned back to Sweden. The presentation of Lukas' Dad is not a Rabbit was a sucess and sparked interest in many investors. Many new and exciting contacts were made. 2005.09.15 The Blue Shoe The Blue Shoe, part 2 in our Shoe-trilogy, has started preproduction... The story is about the Polish blueberrypicker Andrea and her escape from the evil Blueberry King. 2005.09.03 Kaisa & Harax2, The Moosepicture The Moosepicture, is the name of the first finished episode of Kaisa & Harax2. In this episode Kaisa decides to put up a picture, and as usual, Harax2 wants to help.
