In the short-TV-series Well-bred porters we follow Curt Persson and friends from Rombaksbotten to Kiruna along the same way as Swedens richest and most powerful men traveled in 1896.

An unexpected journey

In 1896 the richest and most powerful men in Sweden traveled from Rombaksbotten to Kiruna in an attempt to get building of the railroad started. With them on the journey was about thirty Sami and Lantalaiset people acting as guides and porters.

One of them was Anders “Larsinanttu” Larsson from Kurravaara, an old relative to Curt.

From mountain to mine

In this short-series, Curt brings some friends along the way, but tells the story from the point of view of the minorities.

The series consists of two 30 min episodes and is co-produced by Filmpool Nord AB and Sveriges Utbildningsradio AB.
